2016 1 oz Silver Armenia 500 Drams Noah’s Ark is part of one of the hottest new silver coin series in the world. The coins are incredibly beautiful in fact it won the prestigious Coin of the Year (COTY AWARD). The reverse of the Noah’s Ark coin was designed by Eduard Kurghinyan and displays a dove in flight with an olive branch and Noah’s Ark floating on the flood waters in front of Mt. Ararat and the rising sun. On the reverse is the Coat of Arms of ARMENIA, the denomination 500 DRAMS and the hallmark stamp 1 ounce of .999 pure silver. In keeping with the desire for it to be an internationally recognized silver coin on par with silver eagles, maple leafs and pandas, all of the wording is in both Armenian and English. MT. Ararat is the most meaningful symbol of Armenia. The coins are actually minted in Germany to the highest possible standards and have the mint mark LEV (the Leipzig Edelmetal lverarbeitung. Very nice coin. I wanted something to commemorate the ribbon cutting of the Ark as in the ArkEncounter in Kentucky that I attended. This was the only coin I could find. The only problem is that the 2016 date is so small that I had to go to your website and enlarge picture to see and find that date.
