The strength and wisdom of the bison has been captured on the coin in an exquisite design by acclaimed Colorado based artist Phil Lewis. Mr. Lewis' art is characterized by brilliant color and intricate patterns inspired by his appreciation for the geometries and hues found in nature. This 2021 Bison coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver. The bison shaped coin measures 36.7 x 45.8 mm. The coin is minted with a breathtaking prooflike finish. Imagery of the coin is accented with vibrant color. The coin's design includes a unique serial number. The coin will ship in its original Mint package. Mintage of this numismatic work of art is limited to only 2,500 pieces. Obverse: The obverse features a stylized representation of a bison's fur and horns. At the center, the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "SOLOMON ISLANDS," "2 DOLLARS" and "1 OZ AG 999.9" encircle the right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. "2021" and the coin's individualized serial number are inscribed near the bison's horns above.

Reverse: The bison design is repeated on the reverse, revealing the full face of the creature with its gentle gaze aimed forward. The bison's fur is rendered in a brown striped pattern, which is embellished with additional geometric textures in stunning shades of bright orange, deep red, royal blue and majestic purple.
