The 2014 1 oz Silver Australian Year of the Horse Coin marks the latest release from Perth Mint's popular Lunar Series. Celebrating the Year of the Horse, these silver coins appeal to collectors, bullion buyers and horse lovers alike. Featured on the coin's reverse is a stylized image of two horses. One horse drinks from a lake while the other stares out into nature, with the backdrop of a natural landscape indicative of the horse's view. The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, a mainstay on Australian Coinage, features on the obverse. Along the rim carries the inscriptions of Her Majesty's title, the weight and purity of "1 oz 999 Silver", and the mintage year. It also includes the legal tender of "1 Dollar" and the country of origin "Australia".
