This is a 2022 Goldback

The creation of the Goldback relies on 5th generation vacuum deposition technology. The designs are printed on a sheet of polymer that is then bombarded with the correct amount of atomized gold particles in a vacuum chamber. This gold is then sealed inside by a second protective barrier of polymer, thus creating a beautiful negative image. Valaurum has been developing the process for nearly two decades and it has never been counterfeited. It is truly the most technologically advanced process for creating a physical gold money in the world today.

This 5 Goldback Aurum Foil Note is minted with 1/200 Troy oz. of .999 fine gold. The note is 0.10 mm thick, measuring 131 x 66 mm. This non-legal tender note is a form of voluntary local currency in the state of New Hampshire. Obverse: The Roman goddess Veritas is portrayed wearing a colonial style dress on the obverse, holding a candle aloft and standing near a covered bridge, which is modeled after a structure found along the famed New Hampshire Kancamagus Highway. Embodying the virtue of truth in Roman mythology, Veritas was often illustrated grasping a candle or lantern to symbolically guide the journey through the fog of obscurity and confusion to truth and enlightenment. The foreground features a purple finch, the New Hampshire state bird in flight, while a moose appears beside a guardrail in the background at the base of New Hampshire's mountains to signify the defense and protection of truth. The scene is completed with several clusters of purple lilac bush (the state flower), the scripted words "WALK IN TRUTH," and the signature of Cheri Jensen, the Utah artist responsible for the inspirational imagery. Inscriptions include "VERITAS," "5 NEW HAMPSHIRE GOLDBACKS," "VOLUNTARY NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT" and "1/200 TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD."

Reverse: The reverse is undecorated, with a mirror image of the obverse design clearly visible as a lightly frosted image.
